Belhaven Security

A Message from John Lewis, President
Greater Belahven Security Association
There were two recent incidents in the neighborhood of which you need to be aware.

1. A neighbor left some packages on her front porch to be picked up for delivery. Someone came along and stole the packages before they could be picked up. Please do not leave packages unattended at your home or in your cars.
Please remove delivered packages from your porches ASAP.
2. A resident on St. Ann Street was headed home, through the neighborhood, around 7:30 pm last night. She pulled up behind a silver Olds Cutlass, stopped in the street. They motioned for her to pull around.  She did, not realizing they were going to follow her home.  As she exited her car to head into her home, she was approached by an armed man who demanded her purse.  She refused and he pulled it off her arm. They drove off in the Cutlass, north on St. Ann.  Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Please be VERY cautious when coming and going during the holiday season, especially after dark.  If you think you are being followed, make the block and see if they follow you.  If you see any suspicious vehicles in the neighborhood, please call SECURITAS at 601-720-6452.

If you are not a member of GBSA and would like to join, please call Nada in John Lewis' office at 601-353-0800 for more information.
